Collingwood, September 24, 2019 – The Hamilton – Halton Home Builder’s Association received the Local of the Year Award at the OHBA Conference that took place in Collingwood last week. The HHHBA Members, Board of Directors and Staff are honoured for this significant industry recognition, which is an acknowledgement of all the hard work, ground-breaking changes and strategic initiatives put in place over the past year.

In 2019, and under the leadership of HHHBA CEO Suzanne Mammel and 2019 HHHBA President Nick Carnicelli, the Association finalized and approved a new Strategic Plan to guide the Association from 2019 to 2022 and developed a brand-new formal Operational Plan. The increasing needs of the growing Association called for organizational changes that led to the restructuring of the HHHBA Staff in early 2019. HHHBA’s rapid growth rate urged for a special focus on the maintenance of high quality of services: With the development of Membership Strategies for 2019 and 2020, the Association is focusing on bettering the membership experience, increasing the membership value and actively helping all HHHBA members grow and succeed.

During the past year, the Association continued and strengthened its long-standing role as an advocate for both the Industry Professionals and the existing and future homeowners.  Furthermore, HHHBA is the first ever Local Home Builders’ Association to establish a Women In Industry (WII) Committee, to advance the level of support for women of all ages choosing to work in non-traditional roles.

“We are so honoured to receive this recognition. It has been an exciting year with a new strategic plan, over 15% membership growth, as we continue to expand our services to ensure that we provide the best value possible to our members,” says Suzanne Mammel, HHHBA CEO.
