Hamilton-Halton Home Builders' Association

Our History

The Hamilton-Halton Home Builders’ Association was formed in 1942 and came into its own in the post-World War II baby boom, which created a dramatic need for new housing. The rapid increase in new home construction resulted in the need for a professional association that would promote high standards and advocate for the industry.

Today, advocacy has taken on a more important role than ever as the residential construction industry becomes more regulated. On behalf of both consumers and members, we promote the need for affordable, available and accessible new home construction.
