Coreslab Working With Holmes on Homes
HHHBA member Anthony Franciosa is pleased to announce that Coreslab Structures (ONT) Inc. is working with the well-known television show, “Holmes on Homes” in rebuilding a family’s home in Toronto.
The house being rebuilt had been badly damaged during a renovation. The Holmes on Homes™ team decided to tear down the house and rebuild it rather than attempt to repair what had been done.
The home is being constructed with reinforced concrete walls carrying three levels of hollow core slabs, solid landings and precast stairs. The project is the focus of a fundraising effort which will pay for rebuilding the home. Watch for a future two-hour televised special, entitled “Lien on Me,” featuring this project.
More information about the Lien on Me project is available at www.coreslab.com or www.holmesonhomes.com.
Losani Homes Sponsors Marathon Weekend
Losani Homes was the major sponsor of the November 2-5 "Road2Hope" Marathon Weekend that raised money for a local children's charity and celebrated the opening of the Red Hill Valley Parkway.
The high-profile weekend of road races was capped by a gala event on November 5, when Losani Homes brought in actor Michael Douglas as guest speaker. All proceeds of the marathon and the Evening with Michael Douglas support City Kidz, a local non-profit organization, and The Joy and Hope of Haiti, which is a group of Hamilton volunteers helping the children and people of poverty-stricken Haiti.
Losani Homes' connection to City Kidz began a few years ago when CEO Fred Losani participated in a North Pole expedition on behalf of children's charities – one of which was City Kidz.
